Hey bud on a 96 chev 3500 1 ton 6.5 diesel how far back and in from side of box is the in tank fuel lines on top of tank. My 3/8 supply line is leaming up top. Dont want to cut wrong spot thanks.

Does anyone know if it's vacuum line is supposed to have a seal it's the vacuum line with the braided material around it in the silver bolt on piece that goes into the air intake manifold

Also Found my cable under the carpet it is different, but rotted. So I wrapped stiff hose around it, to re-enforce it and super-glued it. works great. Saved $ $ $ -Thank you very much!

There's nothing wrong with the lifters. Looks like to me you need to get you another oil pump.

It's the o ring on the oil pick up tube that hooks to the oil pump have to drop the oil pan you might as well replace the oil pump and timing chain and sprocket well you at it 😅

Thank you! I just replaced my trans and could not figure out how to adjust this. You're a lifesaver at this point. Also, I am going to go out on a limb here, and guess you live well North of the Mason Dixon Line, as that's a lot of rust in those floorpans and underneath. The great news is, being as thats a GM truck, it'll still be driving down the road, even after the entire body rots away. Tough trucks. I have owned nearly 3 dozen over the years.

Thanks for the video! My 77 Dodge truck failed the exact same way. Could have used more instruction on getting the piston out of there. Was able to finagle it out after removing the bolt holding the arm over it.

It's a well known fact that 99' gmc sierra's have a problem with lifter and valve ticking. Why has there not been a recall on this problem? GMC needs to step up and recall these vehicles back and fix these problems and do the right thing. It's obvious that there is a design flaw and should have been fixed before they even put these vehicles out to sell. They don't mind taking our money but they won't stand behind their product that they sell.

Rust belt warrior here from Michigan. 98 chevy pick up, dropped the tank in a gravel driveway by myself . Took longer to get the jack and tools around than to drop it. I believe it was 3 or so bolts. Not being a wise guy but that was my experience and my box is still intact.

You need to know some smarter mechanics.

You don't change cam bearings? My engine has 170k on it. I understand that you may not be able to reasonably do the bearings, with the engine installed, but are they ok?

Having said that, I tried out reconditioning them and it took me only an hour to do it! It doesn`t matter what type of battery you want, the process works.
